Idea Generation
Before you can start developing a new product, you might want to consider doing a survey of some kind or looking at what other businesses or companies are releasing because those are your competition and you want to bring in as much money as you can.
Apple does a great job doing this because they are always a head of there competition like Samsung.
Screening
This is when S.W.O.T or Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threat come into play. This analysis is a great way to figure out if this specific product is something that is going to generate revue or if this is going to flop.
Idea Evaluation
This part in the development is were things get more serious because this is when you actually bring in the reactions of your customers. This is crucial because of the feedback that you will recieve. Not everyone is going to love the product so you have to be ready and willingly to hear the negative reactions.
Development
This is were you bring the actual prototype of the product into the world so your customers can try them out. Focus Groups, panels and surveys are all examples of the how important feedback is because people will realistically tell you what they really think about this.
Commercialization
Now this is the final stage of the process… which is a good thing because it means that people have loved this product.
This is when you bring your product out of development and start selling it in stores.
Apple has done an amazing job over the years with coming out with new and exciting products. Many people have so many of there products. For example, I am thankful to have an iPhone, a Mac, a Apple Watch and Airpods. My family is obviously an Apple family.
